Art Intensified and Art Demystified
ART INTENSIFIED AND ART DEMYSTIFIED
In 2002, we held our first Gallery D’Estee after the March Chapter meeting. We showcased the work of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
members, Felicia Preston and Geraldine McCullough. In 2003, we invited 5 other artists, pre-hung the artwork, moved the chairs into the parking lot and invented “lay away.” Since 2002, we have showcased more than 80 illustrious African American artists, sculptors and pho- tographers who have become gallery owners, award winners, publishers and whose works can be found in art museums. More importantly we have supported countless attendees in getting “their first piece of art” through our unique payment plan.
So in 2012 we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary with two weekends of educational, exhilarating and electrifying events.
